Whole-home harmony
Balance entries, living spaces, kitchens, and bedrooms with repetition, custom millwork, and intentional styling.
Meet the founder
Seattle-based interior designer and founder of Sundays Interiors. Known for thoughtful, construction-informed design that makes every room feel intentional, balanced, and unmistakably personal.
Roots & influences
Stephanie’s earliest design memory is of her great-grandmother’s farmhouse in Manitoba—white paint, antique brass and crystal knobs, beat-up wood floors, and a “secret” staircase hidden behind doors on both levels. She loved the old built-ins, the surprise spaces, and the feeling of history in every detail.
Growing up in Brazil, Holland, Australia, Colombia, and the U.S. added layers to her curiosity. Homes with fish ponds in the center, glass atriums filled with trees, tiles in every color—each place made her fall more in love with the relationship between architecture, travel, and storytelling.
By 19 she was dreaming of designing shop windows in London. In college she volunteered to style boutiques, and in 2004 she landed her first paying interior design client. Sundays Interiors is the natural continuation of that lifelong obsession.
Expect thoughtful “moments” in every project: coffee bars with custom interiors, wallpapered ceilings, meaningful heirlooms given a second life, and antiques paired with crisp modern lines.
“I’ve never met an antique brass sconce I didn’t love.”
Approach
Stephanie spends time learning how her clients live, what matters most, and what obstacles stand in the way. She maps out construction timelines, translates costs, and keeps projects grounded in reality without losing the magic.
Balance entries, living spaces, kitchens, and bedrooms with repetition, custom millwork, and intentional styling.
She is present for electrical rough-ins, trim-outs, and fixture placement so every space feels complete.
As a former licensed contractor, Stephanie partners closely with builders, subs, and vendors and advocates for the client at every step.
Skills & Expertise
Years of collaboration mean fair pricing, dependable lead times, and trades who treat homes with care.
Stephanie breaks down every task so clients understand how long things take and what each dollar covers.
Experience with accessibility upgrades, aging in place, and special needs ensures every space truly serves its people.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch—keeping job sites aligned and clients informed.
Client Experience
Clients describe Stephanie as collaborative, authentic, intentional, clever, and inspiring. She is curious about how they live, respects their emotions during renovation, and stays calm when inevitable surprises pop up.
Success looks like clients who are proud to invite people over again, who feel lighter in their homes, and who know that every detail was chosen with them in mind.
Problem solving
A family with three baseball-playing boys needed storage fast. Instead of a $700K two-story addition, Stephanie captured the third bay of the garage, pulled permits, and delivered a mudroom in weeks—not months.
For a client who inherited her childhood home, Stephanie refreshed the kitchen but installed handmade pink tile at the coffee bar to honor her mother. Function met memory in the sweetest way.
Ready when you are
Stephanie offers everything from color consultations to full-service new builds, remodels, and styling. She also provides project management, contractor hiring, sourcing, and installation support.
